The tenth DIY Advent door hides an approximately ten-year old top (how fitting!) which I spiced up with a sequined loop. For my Top I took a 1.50 m long and 6 cm wide sequin scarf that was indeed beautiful, but rather scratched me on the neck, so I did not wear it any longer.

Before we start with the instructions, I would say that most of sequined fabrics are very thin and they should at least be folded double. It looks much better when the loop is shimmering brightly.

This Do It Yourself Guide does require some time and patience, but it’s worth it. The result is a shoe jewelry that can be taken away and therefore you can spice up various shoes (pumps, sandals and Mary Janes).
From this shoe ornaments I made 3 pairs, the first prototype, in which I have “practiced” I will keep myself and the other two pairs will be given away as Christmas gifts to dear friends. As the little “before” picture above shows, there was a cogent reason for me to alter this sweater. I can only say that it was not always so short, but by an “accident” it has shrunk in the wash. Due to the great pattern, I did not have the heart to throw it away and came up with the idea with the skirt. We now open the fourth door of my DIY Advent Calendar and behind it lies an old blouse, which has given to me by Lena with her permission that I may change it. Soon I got a “Pimp” idea with some lace.

Some of you have wanted me for these instructions. I took out of these old jeans, which I certainly didn’t wear no longer for 3-4 years, and changed them to cool Used-Jeans. Actually, I would like to thank you because now I wear these jeans again happy more often.
